Hannah, the Brownie Book Club Editor, thinks this...

I was never a fan of horse stories when I was a Brownie, but I have to admit that I did like Mystic and the Midnight Ride. It's not just a tale about horses, it has suspense, mystery and a whodunnit feel about it. If you love mysteries and thrillers, but aren't so keen on horses, you'll still like it. But if you love horse stories then you'll love it, especially the relationship that Issie builds up with Blaze.

I didn't like it. They made it too sad for me. It would be better if the horse didn't die but I still thought it was a great book.
